Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens | 6500 South New Hope Road | Belmont, NC 28012 (See Map)
Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm
Detail:
Holiday traditions combine with plants and nature to produce a week of fun for everyone! Plants represent symbols and traditions that are recognized by many cultures. The annual cycle of the garden creates a reason to celebrate - from dogwood trees blooming at Easter to Fall Harvests and Halloween. Campers and their adult guardians will create easy and fun garden art projects as they learn about some of these plant-related traditions. Garden walks will encourage campers to observe their world carefully as they explore the shapes of leaves, colors of flowers, forms of trees and many other aspects of plant life. Campers will also make an “Independence Day” planter to take home on their final day of celebration!
