The Charlotte Comedy Theater is a grass roots organization made of up of Charlotte's most notorius improvisers. Founded and directed by an 13 year chicago improv veteran, this group is skilled in all improv forms. They perform both long and short form improv as well as having developed their own versions of both.
This group of incredibly committed performers has taken Extreme Improv from a back room improv group to a top level improvisational Comedy Theater. Their hard work, enthusiasm and love for the art form is present in every show they do.
This cast is nothing less than magic to watch interact, support, and amuse one another. You'll rarely seen an ensemble function on such a high level, with greater respect for one another. They are a treat to watch on so many levels.
Improv Classes - Charlottes only improv training center.
Most improv training centers divide their students by levels and teach the particular style of improvisation that they perform. Not so with the CCT training center. We integrate all levels of students to learn with and from each other, current cast members also play along to brush up on their skills and guide new improvisers. We also teach BOTH short and long form improvisation styles. The classes are laid back, inspiring and so much fun you don’t realize you are learning new skills as well as forming bonds with classmates
